Substitute Teacher Hancock County Educational Service Center, Findlay, Ohio, and Renhill Group, Toledo, Ohio

Substituted for schools including Arlington, Arcadia, Cory-Rawson, and Liberty Benton. Worked with students grades preschool through high school. Completed daily plans left by teacher and collaborated with students throughout the day. Left detailed notes for each activity and/or period for each teacher I have substituted. Collaborated with other teachers and administrators throughout the day to help the education process run smoothly. I have completed many trainings in Public School Works. I have substituted in both general education and special education classrooms. I was also employed as a long-term sub for 12 weeks for physical education at Cory-Rawson Elementary.

Direct Support Professional / Wood Lane Residential Services, Bowling Green, Ohio

Assisted with meal planning, cooking, personal care, outings, technical health skills, and getting residents on and off shuttles to their day habilitation programs. Worked with residents with a wide variety of developmental disabilities including Autism, MRDD, Schizophrenia, Cerebral Palsy, OCD, ADHD, etc.

4-H Camp Adult Staff / Hancock County, Ohio

Worked with teen youth to determine a theme, schedule, and build leadership skills for 4-H camp and Cloverbud Day camp in the summer. Oversee one of the core committees made up of five counselors for camp. During the camp meetings, I aided in running my committee meeting, kept the counselors on track, recorded data, built checklist and supplies lists, assisted the camp director in any way I could, and collaborated with adults and teen counselors.

4-H Advisor / Hancock County, Ohio

Worked with 4-H members ages 8-18 on projects. Organized community service projects including Mt. Blanchard Community Clean up day and Bottle Caps for Benches. Assisted with running meetings and answering questions for assisting projects and judging.

4-H Endowment Auction Organizer and Volunteer / Hancock County, Ohio

Worked on a committee to determine a theme, layout, and donations for the 4-H Endowment auction. Helped set up silent and live auction items and organize them on tables. Organized decorations and helped during the auction to help things run smoothly.

Bigelow Hill Elementary, Findlay, Ohio

·        Taught in a 3rd grade inclusive classroom.

·        Worked with typical peers, level 2 intervention students, and students in the Special Education Room.

·        Assisted with Breakfast Duty in the cafeteria and helped the Aide with getting students breakfast, opening food containers, and cleaning up/collapsing tables.

·        Assisted with departure by taking my bus riders down to the gym and aiding students to the correct bus line.

·        Collaborated with the 3rd grade team which included the Principal, 3rd grade teachers, Title 1 Reading teacher, Speech Language Pathologist, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and the Elementary Intervention Specialists to create a learning plan and Intervention schedule for services throughout the day for many of my students.

·        Created 5-day lesson plans which included IEP/504 goals, accommodations, and modifications as well as developmentally appropriate practices and differentiation.

·        Worked one-on-one with students during intervention time reading, practicing math skills, and taking AR tests.

2020-2021

Marimor ESC Preschool, Lima, Ohio

·       Taught in a preschool classroom with both typical and special needs students ages 3-5.

·       Created 4-day lesson plans each week which included a theme and standards for the month.

·       Worked one-on-one with students in small groups providing instruction during class activities.

·       Designed developmentally appropriate lessons to address IEP goals and support student learning.
